Chidinma Okeke Joins Napoli Women on Two-Year Deal

Napoli Women have announced the signing of Super Falcons defender Chidinma Okeke from Mexican club América Femenil.

The 26-year-old Nigeria international has signed a two-year contract with the Italian side, marking her return to European football after two seasons in Mexico.

Okeke Excited About Napoli Move

Okeke expressed her excitement after completing her move to Napoli, saying she has already settled into life at the club and is looking forward to contributing to the team.

Speaking to Napoli’s official website, the versatile defender said:

“I’m happy with my first few days here. I’ve met the coach, the staff, and my teammates, and it’s been fantastic. My goal for this season? To give my all together with the team.”

The Nigeria international will now look to make her mark in Italy as Napoli prepare for the new campaign.

Successful Spell With América Femenil

Okeke spent two seasons with América Femenil after joining the Mexican club from Japan’s Mynavi Sendai Ladies in 2024.

Her time in Mexico proved successful, as she helped América Femenil secure the CONCACAF Champions Cup during the 2025/26 season.

Her versatility and international experience made her an important defensive option during her spell with the Mexican club.

Chidinma Okeke’s Super Falcons Journey

Okeke began her international career with Nigeria’s youth teams before progressing to the senior national team, the Super Falcons.

She represented Nigeria at the 2016 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup, having previously featured for the Flamingos. She was also part of the country’s squad for the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.

The defender earned her place in Nigeria’s senior squad for the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup and was subsequently selected for the Super Falcons’ squad at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Her move to Napoli represents another important chapter in her career, with the Super Falcons defender now set to continue her development in Italian football.
