The Department of State Services DSS disclosed that Alhaji Tukur Mamu, a spokesman of the Islamic cleric, Sheikh Gumi and the negotiator of the Abuja- Kaduna train Victims abductors was apprehended in Egypt and repatriated to Nigeria on Wednesday.
According to the DSS, his detention in Egypt was a result of a complaint from the military and other security services regarding a few important queries.
Meanwhile, according to former aviation minister Femi Fani- Kayode, Atiku Abubakar, a candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been accused of having ties to Alhaji Tukur Mamu, and his supervisor, Ahmad Gumi.

Atiku Abubakar, a presidential contender for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been charged with having connections to the arrested terrorists’ negotiator Tukur Mamu and his boss Ahmad Gumi, according to former aviation minister Femi Fani- Kayode.
According to DAILY POST, Tukur Mamu, who is allegedly a spokesperson for the contentious Islamic cleric Gumi, was detained in Egypt on Tuesday and returned home on Wednesday.
The Department of State Services, or DSS, raided the suspect’ s residence on Thursday and took him into custody while recovering a number of goods.
