BREAKING: Afegbua Shelves Ambition, Endorses Dennis Idahosa

One of the frontline gubernatorial aspirants in APC in Edo state, Prince Kassim Afegbua has again told people from Edo state and in particular Edo North party members where he comes from to ensure that Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa (Denco) emerges the party flag bearer on February 17 for the Edo governorship election which comes up in September.

Addressing rousing party gatherings from across the six local government of Edo north, Afegbua urged every loyal party member, his supporters, members of his campaign organization and indeed every Edo north party member to mobilize for the emergence of Denco as the party flag bearer.

He hinged his call on the need for the party to put forward a candidate that will be acceptable to a broad spectrum of APC party members and indeed majority of Edolites.

While acknowledging that the party parades a reservoir of qualified and capable people, he said as a loyal and dedicated party member, he will not go against the wishes of majority of party leaders, elders and members, hence his decision to step down, endorse as well as campaign for the candidature of Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa.

He called on other aspirants to do same so that APC can comprehensively defeat Obaseki and whoever the PDP throws up. He admonished on party supremacy and cohesion.

He said his ambition is not worth risking the health and well-being of the party especially when the person the party is putting forward is very marketable with track record of performance and potentials to perform more if given higher responsibilities as governor of Edo state.

He said the Denco project must be delivered so he has put on hold all other engagements appealing to party faithfuls to ensure the victory of Idahosa as it will be a win win for all Edo people.
