Ahead of the Edo off-circle Governorship Election in 2024, the leadership of APC in Edo Central Senatorial District on Monday endorsed 2 (two) aspirants after rigorous scrutiny from the pool of 6 (six) aspirants initially shortlisted.
The following criteria was used to arrive at this historic decision:.
a) Esan Local Governments Stakeholders assessment;
b) State wide Stakeholders assessment and acceptability Edo South and North) and
c) Impeccable and unquestionable documentation and educational records and
d) Electability potentials.
To this end, the APC Edo Central Senatorial District Leadership have put forward to the APC Edo State Caucus the underlisteɗ for consideration as the recommended aspirants for the Office of Governor of Edo State.
1) Professor Oserheimen Aigberaodion Osunbor, Esan West
2) RT. Hon. Barr. Thomas Ebozele Okosun, Esan West
This shortlisted names are without prejudice to the competence of other aspirants as the leadership recognise their sterling qualities, however, a decision has to be made for the larger interest of the Edo Central Senatorial District to put our best foot forward.
All other aspirants are enjoined to obey party leadership decision and queue behind any of the two recommend aspirants.
