BREAKING: Embattled Ondo Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa Set To Resign

Pressure is mounting on Ondo Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa to resign from office.

Credible sources in the All Progressives Congress (APC) chapter in the state informed our correspondent that Governor Rotimi Akeredolu said Aiyedatiwa’s resignation is the only condition for office.

On Tuesday, the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon Olamide Oladiji, disclosed that Aiyedatiwa is to sign and submit an undated resignation letter to President Bola Tinubu.

Earlier, there were reports that the Assembly will invoke the Doctrine of Neccesity and declare Aiyedatiwa as the Acting governor but that did not happen.

While Akeredolu is in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital where he has been since his return from medical treatment in Germany, Aiyedatiwa is currently in Abuja where he is meeting powerbrokers who can help save his job.
