In a recent event, Governor Charles Soludo of Anambra State announced that he has not received a salary since taking office, prompting former Kaduna Central senator Shehu Sani to publicly challenge the governor’s lifestyle, according to Daily Post.
Sani expressed his bewilderment on social media, stating: “I read that Soludo and wife have not received any salary for two years. Only God knows how they are managing their lives.”
Governor Soludo, while addressing the congregation at an interdenominational service held at the International Convention Center in Awka to celebrate his second year in office, reiterated his commitment to reducing government expenses. He highlighted his administration’s success in eliminating financial wastage and emphasized the modest approach they have adopted, mentioning that the first lady, Mrs. Nonye Soludo, has forgone the use of official vehicles in favour of using his older cars.
