BREAKING: People Were Killed In My Community In 2019 But Wike Never Lost The Support Of Rivers People -According to Ann-kio Briggs

Annkio Briggs, a participant in the Rivers State Elders and Leaders Forum, has claimed that fatalities occurred in her village amid the 2019 reelection of former Governor Nyesom Wike. She claimed that the public supported Wike for a second term in office because of outside pressure to remove him from office. She did, however, express sadness at the former governor’s continued involvement in a dispute with the state’s governor, given that she is aware of how much the people of Rivers State had supported him.

She said in an interview with Arise TV, ”It is rather sad that somebody like the former governor. I personally and so many other Rivers sons and daughters. I’m not a politician but I definitely supported him through his two tenures, even during the time when the election was held in 2019. People were killed in my community in 2019 but Wike never lost the support of Rivers State people. All the people from the different ethnic Nationalities supported him. So it’s rather very sad at the point that found ourselves where Rivers state is on the eye of the storm.”
