BREAKING: The People Who Voted For Tinubu Are In The Minority, 63% Of The Voters Did Not Vote For Him

Osita Chidoka, a former minister of aviation, has said that President Bola Tinubu has struggled to carry out his ideas since, in the most recent presidential election, just 37% of voters supported him. He also noted that a sizable 63% of voters did not support him. He underlined how important it was for the President to interact with and win over the majority of those who did not support him, particularly in light of the difficult economic choices he had made. He emphasized that the President has made decisions without gaining wider political support and has not sufficiently addressed the 63% majority.

He said in an interview with Channels TV, ”What the challenge is that the President has lack of political consensus in Nigeria in taking these tough decisions. The people who voted for Tinubu are in the minority, 63% of the voters did not vote for him. So he needs to woo them now that he’s the President, he needs to say, ‘I need to bring you guys on board because I’m going to make decisions that are going to hurt.’ He needed to also tell the country that before we even go forward, I am going to tighten the belt that we are going into turbulence. But the President has ignored the 63% and continued with his 37%.”
