BREAKING: Tinubu said he would step on toes, the toes people are looking for is CBN NNPC, Port Authority—According to Gabam

Shehu Gabam, the former chairman of the SDP, has voiced reservations about President Tinubu’s style of leadership.

Gabam emphasized Tinubu’s willingness to take risks during an interview with Arise TV, citing his promise to “step on toes” on the day of his swearing-in. He underlined the significance of looking into important organizations that are vital to the country’s economy, like the Maritime Authority, Port Authority, CBN, and NNPC. Failure to resolve problems within these institutions, according to Gabam, may result in ongoing economic difficulties. In order to stabilize the economy, he encouraged Tinubu to use the same firm measures that were adopted with the CBN probe to other crucial government agencies.

In Gabam’s words: “[Tinubu] said he would step on toes, the toes people are looking for is CBN, the racketeering and profiteering of the CBN; NNPC, the racketeering, and profiteering of NNPC; Port Authority, Maritime Authority the major institutions that supply our economy base. What led to the disaster that we are going through? Unless he took the giant step he has taken in investigating CBN, he moved to NNPC and those vital organs of government that will back up the economy, I don’t see him going anywhere”.
