Former AAC presidential candidate Omoyele Sowore has commented on President Tinubu’s promise to reduce government spending.
In an interview with Arise TV, Sowore stated that two of Tinubu’s children were included in the delegation that traveled to Qatar, even though Tinubu had promised to lower the cost of governance. He clarified that all of the people on the delegation list, including the journalists, had their bills paid for by the government.
In Sowore’s words: You (Tinubu) said you want to cut cost of governance and you are going to Qatar with 2 of your children. Who is going to pay for it? Can’t you ask them to stay home? They are not paying for it. Anybody that is officially on that list that is traveling to Qatar, is being paid for by the government, even journalists who are on those trips are being paid for by the Nigerian government. I know that much”.
