BREAKING: Where Nigerian Ministers Come with a 30-Man Delegation, America Use Their Trade Officers – Oshiomhole

In a video that Sahara TV posted, Senator Adams Oshiomhole of the Edo-North Senatorial District discussed with Mrs. Doris Uzoka-Anite, Nigeria’s Federal Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, the differences in the size of Nigerian delegations to trade missions compared to other nations, specifically highlighting the disproportionate number of delegates. He drew attention to the difference by pointing out that nations like the US make use of their trade officers, highlighting the significance of technological know-how in such initiatives.

Oshiomhole questioned the need for large delegations and suggested a more efficient use of resources. According to him, “We always have the largest delegations of Nigerians to trade missions. Now I see in your proposal that you have a trade mission in Geneva, and you’re going to spend over one point something billion naira to maintain your Geneva office, which means ideally, you have trade experts in that office, and when I used to go to Geneva, where Nigerian ministers come with a 30-man delegation, America would use their trade officers in Geneva to attend those meetings. They’re just pure technical people.”
