BREAKING: Wike Should Know That The Tactics He Has Always Applied, His Godson Has Mastered It – Shehu Sani

Sen. Shehu Sani, a former senator from Kaduna, brought attention to the dynamics between Wike and Fubara in an interview with TVC after the crisis in Rivers State and their feud. He emphasized that the tactics used by Wike seem to be retaliated by his protege, indicating a cycle of political strategies and conflicts. Furthermore, Sani counseled that, in order to guarantee efficient government, factors other than loyalty should be taken into account when selecting a successor.

Sani suggested that the factionalization of the state House of Assembly in Rivers State could impede governance, leading to adverse effects for the people. He called for both Wike and Fubara to recognise the potential harm their feud could cause to the state and its residents. Sani highlighted the need for them to prioritise the welfare of the people over personal conflicts.

According to him, “The factionalization of the state House of Assembly will certainly stagnate the affairs of governance, and if it does that, it is the state that will suffer. So the two persons, the Minister and the Governor, really need to understand that if this war continues at this phase, it’s their own people that will suffer, and if they are fighting, if their war and battle are about the soul of the state or about the people of the state, then they should lower their egos and address the problem. I don’t know much about Sim, but I know about Wike, and from the information we have had on the ground, he’s a protege; he’s a godson. Wike should know that the tactics, the strategies he has always applied, his own Godson has also mastered it, and then now is the return fire. So sometimes, when you’re choosing a successor, you must go beyond the issue of loyalty.”
