Ex-President Jonathan’s Former Chief of Staff Dies at 72

Retired Brigadier General, Jones Oladeinde Arogbofa, a former Chief of Staff to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, passed away early on Saturday morning at the age of 72.

The cause of his death remains unknown, according to multiple reports.

Brigadier General Arogbofa, born on  November 10, 1952, in Oka-Akoko, Ondo state, had a remarkable military career, starting from his commission in the Nigerian Army in 1973.

He served as the Chief of Staff to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan between February 2014 and May 2015.

He was also a well-educated man, having attended prestigious institutions such as Obafemi Awolowo University, Rochester Institute of Technology, University of Alabama, United States Army Command and General Staff College, University of Lagos, and University of Ibadan.

Even after his retirement, he remained active in the military. He was the Chairman of the Center for Research until his demise.
