The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, announced the imminent release of a comprehensive Digital Switch Over (DSO) blueprint nationwide.
Addressing the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) conference in Abuja, he emphasized the administration’s dedication to the project, ensuring a fail-proof DSO rollout. Idris urged NTA to play a pivotal role in adapting to the evolving media landscape, embracing innovation, and maintaining journalistic integrity.
Highlighting the challenges posed by social media and misinformation, Idris stressed the significance of the conference in providing reliable information sources. He commended NTA’s signal upgrade to high definition, noting its positive impact on public viewing and called for its replication across all stations.
Reflecting on the Renewed Hope Agenda, he urged NTA to enlighten Nigerians on the administration’s achievements and policy direction, encouraging a return to its golden era of captivating entertainment content.
