The Senate confirms the appointment of Prof Tunji Olaopa as Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) and eleven other members representing various States of the Federation.

The confirmation follows the presentation and adoption of a report by the Senate Committee on Establishment and Public Affairs, chaired by Senator Oluwole Cyril.

The confirmation is based on the request of President Bola Tinubu, pursuant to Section 154 sub-section 1 of the 1999 Constitution.

The Committee affirms that the nominees possess the necessary qualifications, professional experience, competence, and capacity for the success of the FCSC.

The Senate approves and confirms their appointments.
