Mass Abduction Of Children Became Normal Because President Buhari Did Not Act Decisively — Bukarti

Security expert Bulama Bukarti has highlighted the pressing need for decisive action to combat the rising insecurity plaguing Nigeria.

In an interview with Politics Today on Channels Television, Bukarti emphasized the importance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu taking proactive measures to address the alarming trend of mass abductions of children, which have become alarmingly commonplace in recent years.

Bukarti pointed out that the failure of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration to effectively tackle insecurity has led to a normalization of mass abductions.

He cited the seven separate incidents of mass abductions between December 2020 and October 2021, which resulted in the kidnapping of 1,437 students and 17 teachers.

Calling for decisive action, Bukarti urged President Tinubu to demonstrate his commitment to tackling insecurity and bringing the perpetrators to justice. He emphasized the importance of swift and effective measures to restore safety and stability in the country.
