Mixed Reactions As Shehu Sani Discloses 2 States In Northwest That Bandits Don’t Attack And Reasons For That

In the midst of the Northwest region’s banditry and terrorism, former lawmaker Shehu Sani has identified two states that are immune to these attacks by bandits and terrorists.

Shehu Sani stated that Jigawa and Kano are the two Northwest states in his comment on X, the platform that was once known as Twitter.

Giving reasons why these two states have not been having cases of bandits and terrorist attacks, Shehu Sani said that former administrations invested heavily in security in the states, and that when the current administrations came into office, they also sustained that investment.

He said that apart from the heavy investments in security by the state governments, the residents of these states have also been alert when it comes to response to suspicions of security breaches in the states.

He said, “The two states in the Northwest of Nigeria that have become protected or insulated from terrorists and bandits attacks are Kano and Jigawa states. The basic reasons for these are the security investments made by their former and present governments, and the proactive and prompt response of the residents in those states to any blink of suspicious security threats or movements.”

The statement from Shehu Sani has been attracting mixed reactions from members of the public. Some said that it is interesting to hear the efforts that the governments and residents of those states are making in mitigating the risk of bandits and terrorist attacks, and that this shows that insecurity challenges can be tackled through the collaborative efforts of the government and the citizens.
