The All Progressives Congress (APC) and other political parties are open to forming an alliance with the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), according to Abdulmumin Jibrin, the member of the House of Representatives who represents the Kiru and Bebeji Federal Constituency.

While receiving over a thousand Islamic clerics who gave special prayers for Kano State Governor Kabir Yusuf’s triumph before the Supreme Court, Mr. Jibrin disclosed the information.

According to the legislator, the NNPP is a very promising party that is still willing to working with the APC, the PDP, the LP, and any other interested parties, as long as it is for the benefit of Nigerians.

He also promised to deploy his modest political network to reach out to gladiators in Kano politics towards resolving all resolvable issues and to de-escalate the current tension in the state as a result of the Kano governorship seat.

He explained that Mr Kwankwaso is his mentor and would continue to support and promote harmonious relationship between Messrs Tinubu and Kwankwaso.

A statement by the lawmaker’s media aide, Sani Paki, on Monday in Kano, noted that special prayers were also offered for President Bola Tinubu and the NNPP National Leader, Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso.

During the prayer session, the clerics recited the Holy Qur’an 1,101 times and prayed for peace, progress and political stability in the country, the statement said.

Mr. Kofa made a brief statement at the ceremony stating that his relationship with Mr. Tinubu is public knowledge.

In addition, the lawmaker hosted 5,000 elementary school students from his district following the prayer session and gave them school supplies, as he frequently does.

According to the statement, Mr. Kofa gave the students assurances about the positive initiatives of the federal and state governments, particularly regarding free education and school meals programs.
