Dr. Yunusa Tanko, a prominent figure in the Labour Party (LP), recently took to Twitter to make an announcement regarding the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Gregory Obi, and his running mate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed. Tanko shared a video showcasing numerous boxes of Election Results that were presented by Obi’s legal team at the ongoing Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) on Monday.
In his tweet, Tanko highlighted that Obi intends to provide evidence, specifically EC8A Forms, for 18 states where the election results were allegedly manipulated against him.
Tanko further emphasized that the amount of evidence presented in court thus far demonstrates the seriousness of Obi and Datti’s determination to prove that they were the true winners of the controversial February 25 polls. Tanko’s statement implies that their claims of victory were not mere posturing but rooted in substantial evidence.
