Chief Joseph Ologbo, a 37-year-old man suspected of being the financier of the Aro Bagger cult group, has been arrested.
He was arrested by the special anti-cult unit operatives of the Department of State Service, DSS, and men of Operation Delta Hawk.
His arrest, in Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, is coming on the heels of cult clashes in Sapele and Oghara communities.
The suspect who was arrested in a hotel was found in possession of incriminating items and weapons.
The Delta State Police Command confirmed the report in a statement signed by Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.
According to him: “When the search was extended to his fully-tinted Toyota Tundra Van, one unlicensed pump action gun, two live cartridges, one expended cartridge, and an Aro Bagger cult regalia were recovered.”
