Social media users are currently expressing mixed reactions as a Federal High Court In Abuja dismissed a suit seeking to stop the inauguration of President-Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu over alleged Age falsification and citizenship status.
Recall that there have been some controversies surrounding the age and citizenship status of Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
According to a report from PUNCH NEWSPAPER, the dismissed suit was filed by three persons namely: Praise Ilemona Isaiah, Pastor Paul Isaac Audu, and Anongu Moses, in a bid to stop the inauguration process Of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his vice, Kashim Shettima, over alleged falsification of age and citizenship status in the document Tinubu submitted to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
It was reported that the Federal High Court dismissed the suit because it was “frivolous and an abuse of the court process”. Justice Omotosho who ruled on the suit held that the plaintiffs lacked the Locus Standi to file the suit. The judge added that the court could not exercise jurisdiction to hear the case because it relates to a presidential election.
