The Government Will Benefit From It’s Wrong By The Supreme Court’s Judgement On Kanu – According to Dr Ogbonnia

Sahara Reporters reports that Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, the highest Igbo socio-cultural group, has voiced dismay over the recent ruling by the Supreme Court to overturn the Court of Appeal’s ruling that had ordered the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB). The decision was startling and unbelievable, according to Ohanaeze spokesman Dr. Alex Ogbonnia. He expressed Ohanaeze’s plan to carefully consider the court’s ruling before taking a formal position.

Dr. Ogbonnia emphasized the perceived contradiction in the court’s ruling. While acknowledging the government’s illegal abduction of Kanu from Kenya, the court directed him to face trial. The Ohanaeze spokesman expressed concerns about the government potentially benefiting from its own wrongdoing through this judgment.

He stated, “The court held that the government abduction of Kanu from Kenya was illegal and at the same time said he should face trial, which means the government will benefit from its wrongs by the Supreme Court’s judgement on Nnamdi Kanu. But as I said, Ohanaeze Ndigbo will certainly meet and digest the decision, and its implications to Southeast security and the well-being of its people, and also come up with its position on the trial of Kanu henceforth.” The organization plans to carefully assess the implications of the court’s decision on Southeast security and the well-being of its people before formulating its stance.
