The Governor of Lagos, for the first time, won my heart today- According to Chief Olabode George

Chief Olabode George, a PDP chieftain, has commended Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, for capturing his heart by speaking truth to power. At the National Constitutional Dialogue hosted by The Patriots at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA) on Victoria Island in Lagos, Chief Bode George made this declaration. Together with other distinguished national leaders, Governor Sanwo-Olu had demanded at the event a new Nigerian Constitution that would reflect true federalism and address the nation’s problems.

Speaking at the event, Chief Bode George said, “The Governor of Lagos, for the first time since he’s been Governor won my heart today. Because he said the truth to power. Because some day he will leave. What will you say to the people after leaving.

Sir, the coordination, the report, the discussion, not only should it be for the press, those who have contact with the President, let them go. Call Akpabio, the Senate President, sit him down. He will listen. Because some day, in any public appointment, as you have a date of entry, you will have a date of exit. It is only when you do what you do while in office that will live after you.”
