Raheem Sterling played at left wing back in his first game for Graham Potter yesterday, but still was on hand to score a great goal.
In continues a really nice start to the season for the winger, who has settled in at Chelsea right away.
It also marks a unique record for him. He became the first player to score for 3 English clubs in the Champions League, as he added to his many efforts with Liverpool and Man City.
It’s a great achievement, and while he’s only just started writing his chapter at Chelsea, it could be the crowning glory of an already amazing career.
Because he started so young, it seems amazing he’s still only 27, and Chelsea could yet get years of goals out of him.
And Sterling may yet win a Champions League trophy, the one thing really missing from his trophy collection. That would be a nice ending for everyone.
