Wike:If Tinubu Had Destabilized Lagos When Fashola Was There, They’d Not Have A Great Lagos – According to Sowunmi

Former PDP candidate for governor of Ogun State, Segun Sowunmi, has said that if Bola Tinubu had caused instability in Lagos State during his tenure as governor, Babatunde Fashola, the state would not have been as great as it is.

Sowunmi made this statement during an interview with Channels TV while speaking on the political crisis involving Governor Sim Fubara and his successor, former Governor Nyesom Wike in Rivers State. He said Wike who played a crucial role in the incumbent governor’s electoral victory, should step in and take charge to address the issues and ensure stability within the party (PDP) and state. He also said that if anyone wished to leave the party due to the crisis, they were free to do so, however, those who choose to stay within the party are expected to demonstrate loyalty and support.

In Sowunmi’s words: “If Tinubu had destabilized Lagos when Fashola was there, they would not have a great Lagos and I say it with every sense of respect. Anybody who wants to leave the party should leave, but if you are in the party you must be loyal”.
