Wike’s Aide Lere Olayinka Mocks Peter Obi Supporters Peter Akah, Mama Pee Over Viral Video

Lere Olayinka, an aide to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has mocked supporters of Peter Obi, Peter Akah and Precious Oruche, popularly known as Peter for Nigeria and Mama Pee, respectively, following the circulation of a viral video on social media.

Olayinka reacted to the footage in a post on his X account on Sunday, October 11, 2026, questioning the nature of the campaign activities associated with supporters of Obi, the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The video showed Akah and Oruche dancing while making statements about the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the Nigeria Police Force and President Bola Tinubu.

During the video, the two individuals were heard declaring, “INEC must obey Jesus Christ,” “Police must obey Jesus Christ,” and “Tinubu must obey Jesus Christ” as they danced.

Reacting to the footage, Olayinka used sarcastic remarks to criticise what he portrayed as the campaign style of Obi’s supporters.

In his post, the FCT minister’s aide wrote: “Randy Peter + Mama Pee + 6/6 Bed = ???

“Na like that dem dey campaign for Pitobi inside bedroom 😂😂😂

“Happy Sunday to all supporters of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“Others can go and collect their own Happy Sunday from that MAD MAN of Upper Iweka Road and the Ubima client of Psychiatric Doctor.

“Hissssssssssssh.”

His comments have since added to the online debate surrounding the activities of social media personalities supporting Obi’s presidential ambition.

Viral Video Sparks Debate Over Peter Obi’s Supporters

The video has generated reactions across social media, with critics questioning the public image and campaign activities of some individuals associated with Obi’s political movement.

Some critics have argued that the former Anambra State governor needs influential political voices and prominent supporters to strengthen his campaign ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

Others have pointed to the growing visibility of content creators and social media personalities in political discussions, raising questions about the role online activism could play in shaping public perception of presidential candidates.

However, the online criticism reflects the views of commentators and does not, on its own, establish the broader level of support for Obi or the effectiveness of his political movement.

EFCC Questioned Peter Akah and Mama Pee Over Naira Abuse Allegations

The latest controversy follows the questioning of Akah and Oruche by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in July 2026 over allegations relating to the abuse of the naira.

Their lawyer, Inibehe Effiong, disclosed that the commission had invited the two activists for questioning over materials allegedly connected to the use of Nigerian currency.

According to Effiong, the EFCC initially scheduled the activists to appear on July 6, 2026, through separate invitation letters dated June 24. The meeting was subsequently moved to July 15 after their legal team informed the commission that they would not be available on the original date.

Effiong said he accompanied his clients to the EFCC headquarters on July 15, where they met with investigators and answered questions relating to the allegations.

He explained that Akah and Oruche cooperated with the investigators and were released after the questioning. He added that they would return for further interactions as the investigation continued.

Lawyer Says Money in Material Was Prop Money

Effiong also clarified that the money referenced in the material under investigation was not genuine Nigerian currency but prop money used for entertainment.

“Our clients clarified that what was referenced were Props money for entertainment and not Naira notes,” the lawyer said.

The legal practitioner commended the conduct of the EFCC officials during the questioning, stating that the commission acted professionally throughout the interrogation.

“During the interrogation on Wednesday, which took considerable time, the Commission acted professionally,” he said.

Effiong also reassured Nigerians who had expressed concerns about the activists’ safety following the EFCC invitation.

“Our clients are in high spirits and they appreciate the concerns expressed by spirited Nigerians regarding their safety,” he added.

The latest exchange involving Olayinka and the two Obi supporters comes as political conversations and online campaigning continue ahead of the 2027 general elections. The viral video, the reactions it has attracted and the activists’ earlier encounter with the EFCC have brought renewed attention to their activities on social media.
