American rapper Nicki Minaj has followed Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi on X, formerly Twitter, shortly after reposting his statement on the reported killings and abductions in Niger State.
According to a check by DAILY POST, Obi is reportedly the only 2027 Nigerian presidential candidate followed by the rapper on the platform.
Minaj’s decision to follow Obi came shortly after she reposted a statement he shared on Wednesday, in which the former Anambra State governor condemned the reported killings and abductions in Niger State.
Obi described the situation as a “systematic devaluation of human life” and called for intelligence-led measures to identify and dismantle criminal networks responsible for attacks and abductions across Nigeria.
