According to Professor Usman Yusuf, a political analyst, 50 female students from a federal institution who were kidnapped in September 2023 were abandoned by the federal government of Nigeria and the federal security services.
In an appearance with a journalist on Channels Television, Professor Usman Yusuf made this assertion while pleading on behalf of the parents of the girls who were abducted. Professor Usman Yusuf stated in the interview that “50 girls were abducted in September 2023 and they have been in captivity for six months.”
“50 students of federal university were Kidnapped and neither the state government, federal ministry of education, or any of the federal security agencies are talking to the families. They are on the sixth month of captivity in the forest and the rain has come and gone, harmattan has come and gone, and heat season has come and gone.”
“All these children are the children of the poor. Leaders must govern with human kindness. Nobody is talking about these children. They are girls, our children. Government must do whatever is possible to get these girls out to their parents to spend Ramadan at home with their parents. This is my plea to the government and to everyone in this country who can put pressure on this government.” .
