BREAKING: Army Opened Fire, Killed 50 Villagers – Driving Away Residents

Vanguard reports that the Okuama community is battling terror and grief. Residents, who have taken sanctuary in the thick undergrowth since March 14, now relate a horrific story of loss and violence.

The community’s peace negotiations with the military took a dark and unexpected turn on that terrible day. Eyewitnesses reported that troops who were there supposedly to have a conversation abruptly opened fire on the gullible inhabitants. An estimated 50 lives were lost as a result.

In the aftermath of this devastating incident, the Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon Sheriff Oborevwori, made a poignant visit to the embattled community. His presence served as a somber reminder of the sacrifices made by those who had fallen just days prior. Among the casualties were 16 military personnel, including a lieutenant colonel, who had tragically lost their lives in an ambush.

Terrified and traumatized, the indigenes of Okuama have chosen to remain anonymous. Their accounts paint a grim picture of the bush where they have sought refuge. Amidst the thick foliage, they discovered numerous lifeless bodies—a haunting testament to the violence that unfolded.
