In light of the current national economic crisis, Governor of Nasarawa State Abdullahi Sule has asked Peter Obi to back President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in his bid for reelection.
The governor, according to Vanguard Newspapers, declared that the elections were concluded and reaffirmed his belief that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu currently requires all available support in order to advance the nation.
In addition to praising Peter Obi’s skill and background, the 64-year-old politician asserted that the former governor of Anambra State could work with him to help the president in the best interests of the entire country.
Governor Abdullahi Sule also added that Bola Ahmed Tinubu can’t solely address the present challenges faced by Nigeria, claiming well-meaning citizens like Peter Obi should support him for the benefit of the nation.
Quoting his words, he said: “I know you have the experience, competence, and capacity to support the president in the overall interest of the country. The president is your friend and colleague, we were all in Lagos at some point, and as such you need to contribute your quota to the development of the country. You can contribute your quota quietly because the President needs all the necessary support in order to bring the country back on track”.
