Peter Obi, Grassroots Mobilization Group, commented on Nigeria’s security situation after making a comparison between the current state of affairs and previous administrations on Twitter. Speaking about the system of government, Obi emphasized the crucial part governors played in maintaining security under Presidents Obasanjo and Yar’Adua.
The Group Chief Executive Officer, Access Holdings Plc, Herbert Wigwe, is feared dead. Wigwe was reported to have died following a helicopter crash in California near the Nevada border, United States of America, The Will reports. There are also reports that his wife and son were also onboard the ill-fated helicopter.
Joining others prominent Nigerians in reacting to this unfortunate event, billionaire, Femi Otedola revealed he’s shocked and saddened to hear the loss of a banking genius, his dear wife Chizoba and first son Chizi. Femi Otedola’s tweet, reads;
“I am shocked and saddened to hear of the loss of a banking genius Herbert Wigwe, his dear wife Chizoba and first son Chizi. Exactly two weeks ago Herbie and his wife hosted myself and Aliko to dinner at his newly built home in Lagos. I will cherish and fondly remember my memories of time spent together with him over the years.”
