BREAKING NEWS: APC Group Backs Tinubu, Akpabio, Eno’s Re-Election In 2027

The Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA), a coalition group loyal to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has declared support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu, Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno and other APC candidates in the 2027 general elections.

The group also urged Nigerians to remain patient with the Tinubu administration’s economic reforms, acknowledging the attendant hardships while expressing optimism that the policies would eventually deliver prosperity.

The state coordinator of RHA, Obong Prince Ikim, stated this during a breakfast meeting with local government and ward coordinators and other arms of the group in Akwa Ibom State.

Ikim urged the electorate to set aside political sentiments and support the administration, insisting that Tinubu’s re-election would help sustain the gains of the ongoing reforms.

He said the removal of fuel subsidy and efforts to stabilise the naira were necessary decisions, arguing that the country’s economy would have suffered a worse fate without the president’s political will to implement the policies.

“This is the first time we have a president with the political will to stand firm and pull out fuel subsidy; political will to carry out reforms to better this country,” he said.

Ikim added that state and local governments now had more funds to execute people-oriented projects, crediting Tinubu’s policies for projects undertaken in Akwa Ibom State.

He also praised Governor Eno’s administration, urging RHA members to take the messages of the federal government’s Renewed Hope Agenda and the state government’s ARISE Agenda to communities across the state.

He called on members to mobilise voters to ensure that Tinubu and other APC candidates secured massive votes across polling units and wards in the state’s 31 local government areas.

Also speaking, a former Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Aniekan Uko, pledged that the group would mobilise support for Tinubu, Akpabio, Eno and other APC candidates in the elections.

Similarly, a former member of the state House of Assembly representing Eastern Obolo/Ikot Abasi State Constituency, Elder Charles Mbong, who spoke for Eket Senatorial District, called for extensive voter sensitisation.

Mbong stressed the need to encourage supporters to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), describing voter mobilisation as critical to the group’s electoral ambitions.

“We cannot win the upcoming election without encouraging our supporters to get their PVCs. Returning Tinubu, Akpabio, Umo Eno and other APC candidates is a task that must be done,” he said.
