Social media users have been reacting to statements made by Peter Gregory Obi, a former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party presidential contender in 2023, about food that Ukraine had sent to Nigeria during the country’s current crisis. The recent LEADERSHIP story on Ukraine’s 25,000 tons of grain supply to Nigeria served as the impetus for Obi’s remarks.
In a post shared on his verified platform, Obi acknowledged Ukraine’s gesture while expressing his dismay, labeling it a “national disgrace. ” He attributed this disgrace to years of leadership failures within Nigeria, calling for introspection and a reevaluation of national priorities and resource management.
