BREAKING: Sen Musa ‘Every Action We Took Under Buhari, We Did It In The Best Interest Of This Country’

Despite the difficulties the nation is currently facing, Senator Mohammed Musa, a senator from the Niger East Senatorial District, has stated that the 9th Assembly is standing by the decisions it made under President Muhammadu Buhari, saying it has no regrets. He took a firm stand, saying that he had no regrets about any group decisions made at that time and that all choices had been made with the best interests of the country in mind.

He acknowledged that if any policy actions result in disasters, a thorough examination would be conducted to identify those responsible. He elaborated on a specific instance when President Muhammadu Buhari proposed ways and means. He revealed how the Assembly scrutinized the proposal multiple times and sought a detailed breakdown. Upon receiving the breakdown, they analyzed its allocation to various sectors, including COVID-19 response, agriculture, and other programs.

He said in an interview with Channels TV, ”When ways and means were brought in the 9th assembly, we rejected it three times and it was returned three times. And we said we must see all the breakdowns. There were some policies that were not going right with Nigerians and we as true representatives of the people, we didn’t want Nigerians to continue to suffer.”

Senator Mohammed argued that the 9th Assembly has no regret over the policy actions that were taken under the Buhari administration despite the hardship the country is facing, ”I have no regret for any action that I have taken in my life. Every action we took collectively under Buhari, we did it in the best interest of this country.

If it is a disaster in the end. Then we are going to look at who created those disasters and we checkmate those individuals. At the time President Muhammadu Buhari brought ways and means. We looked at it and turned it back three times. We asked for a breakdown and when they brought the breakdown, we saw where they put everything. And when that ties it to Covid-19, when they tie it to Agriculture and other programs. Are we going to say No that it has not happened?”
