BREAKING: Some groups who donated money are asking for account, it has nothing to do with Peter Obi and Labour Party

Dr. Yunusa Tanko, the spokesman for the Labour Party, has said that the demand for the audit of accounts is coming from some persons and groups that have contributed money to the Obidient cause among themselves and that it is unrelated to the Labour Party or His Excellency Peter Obi. He said that the organizations made tremendous, all-encompassing efforts, such providing free medical care to everyone in the Federation.

He clarified that the participants in this project arranged themselves into distinct and open groups and dispersed monies obtained from different contributors in their respective industries. He claimed that in order to show their dedication to legitimacy and openness in their support of the Obidient cause, the contributors made an effort to allay any doubts about how the money was being used.

He said in an interview with Channels TV, ”Some articulate and well transparent set of people who went round the federation trying to shower support for his excellency, Peter Gregory Obi by conducting free medical services in and out of every part of this country. They donated money to their groups within their own sector and those particular groups are the ones that will account for whatever it is that was given to them by the donors.

The donors cut across the whole world. Individuals who have families at home came together to say look, we need to support this particular cause. If certain amount of money is being given to this particular group, please account for that, it only shows credibility. So that nobody will think that probably they are donating to a ghost or somebody will use that money for his own personal gain. Some groups who donated money are asking for account, it has nothing to do with Peter Obi and Labour Party.”
