BREAKING: They Moved The Kids Into The Forest And Since Then They Have Been Moving In The Forest

Dr. Kabir Adamu, the managing director of Beacon Consulting Limited and a security expert, has said that the kidnappers of the Lea Primary and JSS1 students in the Kuriga town Local Government area of Chikun moved the kids over long distances to a forest. He claimed that the kidnapping is made easier by the lack of a system in place to keep an eye on and regulate unexplored areas.

He went on to say that the robbers’ mobility was important because, having driven around a thousand miles on motorcycles, they could have been stopped from reaching their target destination if they had had competent intelligence. He also bemoaned the kidnappers’ continued access to gasoline, which allowed them to ride their motorcycles over long distances.

He said in an interview with Channels TV, ”In the case of the Kuriga incident, they moved the kids into the forest and since then they have been moving in the forest and they will probably end up in a particular state where we are hearing they came from. And so, the fact that we still don’t have any mechanism for dominating uncovered space is the second enabler. The third enabler is their ability to move. They came on motorbikes and they moved from a particular state in the North West across several states to almost 1000 miles.

So if there was capable intelligence we could have deterred their movement and prevented where they were going to or even stopped them before they even reached there. You can also talk about the fact that they are still able to have access to Petroleum to put in their bikes to travel up to maybe 400, 500,600 kilometers. You need a lot of petroleum to put in those bikes because even after the incident to move back to those locations, they will definitely consume a lot of fuel.”
