BREAKING: Wigwe: If They Say The Weather Was Bad, Who Authorized The Pilot To Fly The Helicopter?- According to Isiokpo CSO

Wobodo Amadi Jr., the Chief Security Officer (CSO) of the Isiokpo kingdom in Rivers State, has stated that they are dissatisfied with the answers provided behind the passing of Herbert Wigwe, the Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings. He added that the American government ought to visit them and ascertain the precise cause of their son’s death.

Recall that the American banking tycoon passed away following an accident of the helicopter he was riding in. He passed away with his son, wife, and three other people. The US authorities declared the crash to be weather-related a few days after he passed away. If the weather was severe, the Isiokpo CSO questioned who gave the pilot permission to operate the helicopter.

Speaking with Saturday Vanguard, Amadi Jnr said that they are not convinced by the recent report from the US authorities. He threatened that they would stage a protest at the American Embassy, the Aso Rock Villa in Abuja for two weeks if the authorities failed to give them a convincing reason of what caused Wigwe’s death.

He said, “The US Government should come and explain to us what killed our son. We will stage a peaceful protest at the American embassy, and the Villa (Nigeria’s seat of power) in Abuja and occupy major roads for two weeks if we are not presented with a convincing reason for what led to his death. If they say the weather was bad, who then authorized the pilot was fly the helicopter?”

The late Wigwe is set to be buried in Isiokpo on March 9, 2024, and the community has been wearing a new look ahead of the event.

It should be recalled that about two weeks ago, the community had held a seven-day mourning in honour of the late banking mogul whom they said was a light to the Isiokpo community.
