In the current government, the judiciary has evolved from being the last resort for the common man to a lost hope.- Dino Melaye

The judiciary under this current administration, according to Senator Dino Melaye, the PDP’s candidate for governor of Kogi State and a former senator who served as a representative of the good people of Kogi West Senatorial Zone, has become the last resort for the average person rather than their last hope.

Speaking further, the former lawmaker made it known that he will not challenge the outcome of the November 11 Governorship Election in Kogi State, because he has lost hope in the country’s judiciary.

According to Vanguard, Senator Dino Melaye made this disclosure at a media briefing in Abuja on Wednesday, alleging that the country’s judiciary has become an arm of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

He said: “It is now public knowledge that the Judiciary under the current administration has become the lost hope instead of the last hope of the common man.”

In addition, Senator Dino Melaye noted that it was a shame that the judiciary watched helplessly as members of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, boasted of their control over the country’s judiciary during campaigns.

It should be recalled that Senator Dino Melaye was the Kogi State PDP Governorship Candidate, during the just concluded Governorship election in the state. After the election, Senator Melaye finished 3rd, behind the candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC and the Social Democratic Party, SDP, respectively.
