ASABA/Nigeria: The Executive Governor of Delta State and leader of the state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in South-South Nigeria, Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori, is set to inaugurate the commencement of significant infrastructure projects in Effurun and Warri metropolises.

The groundbreaking event, slated for Monday, will mark the commencement of construction for three flyovers, cloverleaf, and pedestrian bridges valued at N78 billion, awarded to Julius Berger Nigeria Plc.

In a statement released on Sunday by Dr. Wilfred Latimore Oghenesivbe, the Executive Assistant on Communication and Orientation to the governor, the groundbreaking ceremony aims to initiate the seamless start of these mega projects situated in the Delta Central and South Senatorial Districts.

These initiatives promise to alleviate heavy traffic congestions, enhance the movement of goods and services, and foster sustainable socio-economic development in the specified areas upon completion.

Highlighting the broader impact of these projects, Oghenesivbe emphasized the generation of numerous job opportunities, both skilled and unskilled, alongside the boost to ancillary businesses such as food vendors, suppliers, and consultants.

He underscored the administration’s commitment to delivering on its electoral promises encapsulated in the MORE (Making Opportunities Real for Everyone) agenda, further solidifying the temple of good governance in Delta State.

“Elder Oborevwori, known for his astute leadership and emphasis on local content, will spearhead the groundbreaking ceremony on Monday, November 27, marking the initiation of the three flyovers and road expansion projects in Effurun and Warri,” Oghenesivbe reiterated.

This development marks a historical milestone as construction giant Julius Berger Nigeria Plc brings advanced technology equipment to Delta State for the first time since its creation, signifying a pivotal leap in the state’s infrastructure development.

Anticipating the magnitude of this occasion, top dignitaries including members of the state executive council, party leaders, senior political appointees, royal figures, and individuals from diverse backgrounds are expected to grace the event.

Oghenesivbe concluded by extending invitations to guests and dignitaries, urging their prompt arrival by 9:30 am at the DSC roundabout to partake in this landmark event that heralds a new phase of infrastructural transformation in Delta State.
