2027 Elections: Marshall Ekperikpe Ekpo Vows to Mobilise Voters Against Government Influence

Marshall Ekperikpe Ekpo has vowed to mobilise voters against the combined political influence of the federal, state and local governments ahead of the 2027 general elections, declaring that intimidation will no longer determine the people’s political choices.

The controversy intensified following reports about comments attributed to the minister’s spokesperson, Louis Ibah, concerning the minister’s sons and election contests.

However, earlier reporting indicated that it could not independently establish whether the minister personally made the statement attributed to him.

At the time of that reporting, no direct public denial of Marshall’s claimed paternity had been established.

The latest development adds a political dimension to the public dispute, with Marshall now declaring his intention to mobilise voters ahead of the 2027 general elections.
