The two-day celebration will begin on Friday, October 16, with the club’s second Annual General Meeting, which is expected to attract delegates from its various chapters across the country.
The AGM will provide an opportunity for members to discuss the organisation’s activities, strengthen its administrative structure and advance its objectives for Arsenal supporters in Nigeria.
Activities will continue on Saturday, October 17, with aerobic sessions and a novelty football match designed to promote fitness, camaraderie and the spirit of football among members.
The day’s programme will also feature a community outreach initiative at Wuse Market in Abuja, highlighting the club’s commitment to extending its activities beyond football fandom.
Wuse Market Clean-Up Campaign to Promote Environmental Sanitation
As part of its social responsibility efforts, members of the Arsenal Fans Club Nigeria will visit Wuse Market for a clean-up campaign aimed at promoting environmental hygiene and improving sanitation within the commercial community.
The initiative will include the donation of industrial refuse bins, alongside other sanitary tools and materials, to the market’s leadership to support waste management and encourage a cleaner environment.
The outreach reflects the organisation’s broader commitment to community development and philanthropy, particularly initiatives that provide support for vulnerable, less-privileged and challenged members of society.
National President Charles Ojugbana said the initiative aligns directly with the club’s philanthropic objectives and its desire to make a meaningful difference in the communities where its members live and operate.
According to Ojugbana, the organisation hopes to use the popularity of Arsenal Football Club to inspire positive social change and create opportunities for members to contribute to community development.
Kanu Nwankwo, Bukayo Saka, Madueke and Eze Inspire Initiative
Ojugbana also explained that the organisation draws inspiration from the achievements of Arsenal players of Nigerian descent, both past and present, as it seeks to elevate the football fan experience in the country.
He specifically referenced former Arsenal striker Kanu Nwankwo, alongside current and recent Arsenal-associated players Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze.
“We are drawing inspiration from the exploits of Arsenal players of Nigerian descent, past and present, such as Kanu Nwankwo, Bukayo Saka, Noni Madueke and Eberechi Eze, to raise football fan experience to a level never attained before,” Ojugbana stated.
The club hopes to build on the connection between Arsenal’s Nigerian supporters and players with Nigerian heritage to foster a stronger sense of identity, participation and community among its members.
Saraki, Emir Sanusi, Dino Melaye and Kanu Expected at Unveiling
The official unveiling will take place on Saturday evening at a prestigious event expected to attract prominent figures from business, politics, traditional institutions, entertainment and Nigerian football.
Among the personalities named as expected attendees are former Senate President Dr Bukola Saraki, the Emir of Kano, HRH Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Senator Dino Melaye and Arsenal legend Kanu Nwankwo.

Arsenal Fans Club Nigeria Outlines Governance Structure
The Arsenal Fans Club Nigeria operates under a governance framework comprising a Board of Trustees, a National Executive Committee (NEC) and a General Assembly, which serves as its highest decision-making body.
The organisation also maintains a digital membership database to support its administrative processes and coordinate its growing network of supporters.
Through its governance structure and nationwide chapters, the club aims to promote organised fan engagement while creating a platform for members to participate in social and charitable activities.
Its combination of football-related programmes and community outreach initiatives reflects an ambition to position the organisation as more than a conventional supporters’ group.
Club Plans Down Syndrome Awareness Campaign for March 2027
Looking beyond the Abuja unveiling, the Arsenal Fans Club Nigeria has announced plans for another major social impact initiative focused on raising awareness about children with Down syndrome.
The proposed campaign is scheduled to coincide with World Down Syndrome Day in March 2027.
The initiative is expected to extend the club’s community engagement efforts and promote greater awareness and inclusion for children with Down syndrome.
The planned campaign follows the Wuse Market sanitation outreach and underscores the organisation’s stated intention to make philanthropy and social responsibility an integral part of its activities.
With its two-day Abuja programme bringing together football, member engagement and community service, the Arsenal Fans Club Nigeria is seeking to strengthen its national presence while using the shared passion for Arsenal to support initiatives beyond the pitch.
