BREAKING: Hezbollah Chief Reacts To Israel’s Election Results, Says Country’s Goals Have Ended In Failure

Hezbollah Secretary-General Naim Qassem has characterized Israel’s election outcome as evidence of failure, asserting that the nation is grappling with mounting political, economic, and social difficulties.

As reported by The Jerusalem Post on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, Qassem shared these views during a televised address on Al-Manar TV, during which he targeted Israel’s domestic state and claimed the voting outcome pointed to deeper systemic troubles.

During his address, the Hezbollah leader highlighted rising internal turmoil inside Israel, implying that the nation’s struggles are continuously exposed by ongoing events.

“Internal confusion, and political, economic, and social crises, the results of which are revealed one after another,” the statement read.

Qassem further contended that the electoral outcome in Israel should be seen as an extension of what he views as the nation’s wider failures.

He asserted that Hezbollah cares far less about which political leaders take charge in Israel than it does about the core issue of the Israeli occupation.

“What is reflected in the election results in Israel is one of the expressions of defeat,” he stated.

He additionally stated, “We are not interested in who will control the usurping Israeli entity, but it must know that it will not be able to continue its occupation, and that it must leave our land.”

Through these points, Qassem reaffirmed Hezbollah’s firm resistance to Israeli authority over areas the organization views as occupied.

He framed the electoral results as a symptom of Israel’s internal friction, insisting that shifts in political leadership will not shift the group’s ultimate stance.

These declarations arrive amid persistent friction between Israel and the Iran-backed Lebanese militant organization Hezbollah regarding cross-border skirmishes along the Israel-Lebanon frontier and broader geopolitical security worries.

Both factions remain deeply divided over territorial disputes and security arrangements, with their ongoing conflict fueling wider regional instability.

Qassem’s commentary centered on Israel’s internal political shifts, using them to highlight broader vulnerabilities within the country.

Yet, he gave no sign that the political outcome would alter Hezbollah’s opposition to Israeli governance over the disputed territories.

He wrapped up his remarks by reaffirming the organization’s stance that Israel cannot sustain its occupation permanently and must evacuate the lands Hezbollah claims as its own.
